The film’s second weekend has once again underlined that this is not a regular blockbuster behaving according to regular rules. After collecting Rs. 38 crore on the second Friday, it rocketed to Rs. 60 crore on Saturday and Rs. 66 crore on Sunday, delivering a sensational Rs. 164 crore second weekend. That is the kind of jump that tells the trade one thing very clearly: audience appetite for Dhurandhar 2 is still raging.
And yet, Monday also did what Mondays are supposed to do. It brought sobriety into the conversation. The film came down to Rs. 23 crore on Monday, before inching up to Rs. 25.50 crore on Tuesday. In absolute terms, these are still huge numbers. But in trend terms, they also tell us that while Dhurandhar 2 remains an unstoppable box office beast, the run now needs to be viewed through a more precise lens. The second weekend has raised the floor. The Monday drop has adjusted the fantasy. Put together, they now give the trade three very clear lifetime possibilities.
Scenario 1: The downside that is still gigantic – Rs. 1240 crore
This is now the cautious call, and even this number sounds absurdly big. Earlier, the lower-end estimate looked closer to Rs. 1220 crore, but the second weekend has made that target feel too modest. With Rs. 861.50 crore already in the bag, the film would need a dramatic slowdown from here to finish below Rs. 1240 crore. That is why Rs. 1240 crore now looks like the safety net. In simple terms, even the downside is massive.
Scenario 2: The most likely finish – Rs. 1310 crore
This remains the strongest trade call right now. Dhurandhar 2 has already shown that it is not surviving on opening-weekend euphoria alone. The film posted a mighty Rs. 59 crore Monday in Week 1, held strongly through the weekdays, then exploded again over the second weekend. That kind of trend is what keeps a film on course for a truly giant finish. At the same time, the Rs. 23 crore Monday after the second weekend suggests that the run will continue in powerful but measured fashion. That is why the most realistic destination now stands at around Rs. 1310 crore.
Scenario 3: The blockbuster extreme – Rs. 1400 crore
Yes, the dream run is still alive. But it now belongs in the upside category, not the default category. For Dhurandhar 2 to finish around Rs. 1400 crore, it will need continued dominance through the weekdays, very steady holds in key circuits, repeat audiences and minimal disruption from competition. The possibility exists because the film has repeatedly forced the trade to rework its ceilings. But the post-second-weekend Monday number also tells us that the film is not in a no-gravity zone. Hence, Rs. 1400 crore is still achievable, but it now represents the bullish finish rather than the most likely one.
The most interesting part of this entire run is that Dhurandhar 2 is no longer being judged by normal blockbuster standards. The film has now reached a point where the debate is not about whether it will be historic, but about what flavour of historic it will finally be. A film with Rs. 861.50 crore in 13 days does not need overstatement to sound extraordinary. The numbers are already doing the screaming.
For now, the cleanest trade verdict is this: Rs. 1240 crore is the floor, Rs. 1310 crore is the most likely finish, and Rs. 1400 crore remains the dream scenario. That means the floor has gone up, the base has improved, and the fantasy, while slightly trimmed, is still very much alive.
In short, Dhurandhar 2 has not merely stayed huge after the second weekend, it has made even caution sound colossal.
